REVEGETATION OF REMNANT RAINFOREST

In February 2015 Caniaba Landcare received a small grant to undertake revegetation work in a recovering rainforest, including riparian rehabilitation.  Whilst the project has to be completed by 31 May 2015, the work being undertaken here is ongoing. This project relates to one part of the recovering rainforest on one property and there are a further 4 properties where the rainforest and the creek, which feeds into Pelican Creek, need to be rehabilitated, but that's in the future. There's still much more to do including planting over 300 trees and plants, continual pulling of re-emerging privet seedlings and dealing with Corky Passionfruit vine and other exotic vines, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.....

There are 3 photo points for treatment of the exotic grasses and in addition there are photos of part of the creek where rehabilitation is occurring over the project. Here are some photos taken before the project started and a few after some of the work had been completed. Photos will be added progressively and also include photos of the major plantings.
